Embracing Summer: A Note from Joanne Hewitt, Bowen Tutor

by | Jul 27, 2024 | Introductory Courses, Joanne Hewitt, News, Practitioner Training, Upcoming Courses | 0 comments

It’s summertime, and that means it’s a busy season at the clinic! We’re here to help with everything from hay fever, sports injuries, sports performance, and general aches and pains, to providing relaxation and rebalancing. Our goal is to ensure you enjoy this vibrant season to its fullest by addressing any physical discomforts and enhancing your overall well-being.

For me, summer is a time to relax, reflect, and recharge before heading into autumn and winter with renewed focus and energy. Looking back on this past year at the clinic and teaching the Introduction to Bowen courses, I’ve seen how Bowen Therapy has positively impacted people’s lives and helped them to live a better way.

Due to the high demand for Introduction to Bowen Courses in the northeast, our next course is on 19th & 20th October 2023 in Durham. Whether you’re looking to make changes in your own life, support your family’s health, or even explore a new career, this course is open to everyone, regardless of bodywork experience. It equips you with the tools to make positive changes and provides you with a lifelong skill set. Many participants have found that even after just a few sessions, they can effectively help their friends and family with common ailments, from back pain to stress relief.

I’m excited to share that our Certified Bowen Healthcare Therapist professional training (CBHT) will commence on 6th February 2024 in Durham. This comprehensive training is designed to deepen your understanding of Bowen Therapy and prepare you for a professional career. The course covers everything from muscle palpation and body protocols to the intricacies of client care and business management. There’s already a lot of interest in this course from individuals who have completed the Introduction to Bowen courses and are considering a career change. This training offers valuable skills for life and the flexibility to fit into your busy family and home life.

Over 21 years ago, Bowen changed my life and provided me with the opportunity to pursue my passion while having a rewarding career with fewer hours and the flexibility to balance work and family. It was a leap of faith, but it was the best decision I ever made. The ability to help others heal and improve their quality of life has been incredibly fulfilling. I encourage anyone interested in holistic health and wellness to consider joining us for these transformative courses.
