Emergency First Aid
To ensure the safety and well-being of both practitioners and clients, it is essential that all Bowen Therapy students complete a first aid course. This training provides the necessary skills to handle emergencies, making your practice safer and more professional.
First aid training is a crucial component.
We recommend that students complete an accredited first aid course before starting their practitioner training. These courses cover essential skills such as CPR, wound management, and dealing with unconscious individuals. Completing a first aid course not only meets regulatory requirements but also instils confidence in your ability to manage unexpected situations in your practice.
Choosing the right first aid course is important. Look for a course that provides a recognised certification, such as Emergency First Aid at Work, which is valid for three years. This certification ensures you meet workplace health and safety regulations and demonstrates your commitment to maintaining a safe and professional practice environment.
The Bowen Therapists Professional Association (BTPA) requires that Full members complete their First Aid Knowledge every 3 years. By completing a first aid at work course as part of your therapy training you are already fulfilling a criteria set by the professional association
